I missed the intro, was wondering when Dave gets back to work.  Yesterday I heard Rosalie comment that Dave is arrived safely & busy shoveling snow on the banks of Lake Huron.

Well, we're still hearing sets from October, but at least this one is from a different year--2006.  There were two sets in the DB that led with the Chris Rea tune--of those, this is the more by-the-book. The other one included a rare appearance by Peter Himmelman and one of my fave XTC songs, Mayor of Simpleton.
Let's get right to it.

This one, though, gets co-BOS votes from me for "Fascination St." and "Fisherman's Blues."  Both perfectly fit my mood (hung over, chilly, a little sad to be coming down after a whirlwind month of delights).

I'm wondering too; no idea if the home studio is good-to-go or still being built. He certainly deserves some down-time, but I hope it doesn't stretch into February. (And if it does, surely there are more interesting "classics' in the library than what we've gotten so far.)

BTW, does anyone here have HD radio, and/or have you heard the "all-10@10" channel?

It's raining here, and I'm about to head to OAK to see my folks off after an 18 day visit.  We had a very pleasant time, tho' busy, and I'm not at all psyched to return to the daily grind.

"OMG we're having an earthquake"  "hello hello???" "Jeezus Christ, the Bay Bridge collapsed!"   Memories of 5:04pm, 10-17-89.

But before I go, time to change my avatar back to the one we all love.

We've got partly cloudy skies, and the 2" of snow that fell last evening seems to be melting quickly. Yes, getting back to work is not where my head is this morning, but no work, no $$ so work I shall.

Ah, Mark, I see Ms. Johanssen has returned to the fold. As it should be.

Let's get right to it.

What is this rocker with the rather repetitive bassline?  Don't recognize it or the group.
