BOS2 Woody in Bananas -- an appropriate clip indeed!

10YA cappin' on freaks & hairies, dykes & fairies.
do you recall Dave Morey one morning talking about this song, saying that although it spoke to a lot of folks about the turmoiil of the day, and represented the frustration of so many folks, that specific phrase just kind of blew it for him?

Yes, I remember that well.  How do the rest of y'all feel about that line?

well, it WAS 1971, so it's sort of on the border between ignorance and enlightenment, as far as straight folks awareness of gay people being everywhere and actually having, y'know, feelings. But as indicated above, I think it fits the overall conservative tone of the lyrics.
agree.... someone should've just said "Alvin, shut up and play yer guitar."

it's a "Knockin'" twin-spin!  proxy of GazWOS Dave Edmunds; VHM from me, first exposure to Mr E. for most of us.

Not me, I've long since been on record here saying that this is my fave Stones tune.

I wanna say Ginger/Marcus have played this before. But we've certainly never heard it from Dave.

nice John song...  good set, hard to do poorly in the year 1971 -- but I suppose it could be done.

So would some Who's Next? fit in here?
