"A Song for You" is marvy songwriting, but I can't help cringing at Leon Russell's mortifyingly bad vocal effort.

ha!  I don't  know this song, so when I read "PG&E" I thought, "oh man - what's THAT acronym mean?" turns out it means what I think it means. Sometimes Mike's shorthand isn't shorthand at all. 

But what a good song..  I know I've heard it before, but they just don't make them like that any more. ... Well, I'm sure they make them, but you have to go to church to hear them or tune into some gospel stations.

some of Sonia Dada's first CD reminded me of PG&E's vocalizing.

Love the one yer with -- esp if her name is Scarlett Jo.  VHM Mr Stills -- I still(s) prefer the Isley's cover.

ETA: what did Stephen Stills know about "fisting gloves"??

a total mondegreen. But as Paul McCartney once sang, "My glove does it good"!

Bob does nice work on the Drive's 10@10, esp in the '60s & '70s. His '80s sets can be album-rock crapfests (not as much pop or New Wave as we get from Dave) but occasionally he'll surprise us.

Glad you enjoyed!  (Shouldn't it have been a hawk flying with the dove?  Guess that word doesn't scan as well.)
