The Peak, 07/29/08: It's 1981
« on: July 29, 2008, 07:12:31 AM »
Tuned in for the end of Joan Armatrading's "Lucky," and now one Mike's been pining for from Dave for ages: "Antmusic."
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

First repeat from yesterday's Drive set: ELTSDIM.

Big surprise of set: Blasters, "Marie Marie."

Rough transition between two fine songs: "Ghost Town" and "Edge of 17."  I don't think the goat thing applies to the latter; if anything, Stevie's overwhelmed by her backing vocalists.

New to me: Great Buildings, "Hold On to Something."  Sounds a bit Bram Tchaikovskian.
