BTW, meant to ask this the other day, but those of you who listen to the '80s show, broadcast version, could you post links to the stations you listen on? I'd like to get back to hearing the '80s charts, which I had to stop because my old PC was incompatible with anybody's players.

It certainly does seem that way lately.  I feel as though we haven't hit '74 in a long time.  Anyone inclined to keep a Shraytabase-esque log of this stuff?

And I really wish the '80s rebroadcasts would loop '79 in.

Yes, '76 seems to come up fairly often, '74 less so.  As you know, a recap of recent replays is shown on the WODS and WBBG "AT40" webpages:

Ay yi yi - WOS to Cletus Maggard (?)'s "The White Knight."  This is just unlistenable.

BOS to the mighty O'Jays, "I Love Music."  The most ahead-of-its-time of all the Philly Int'l tunes, I think.

Ay yi yi - WOS to Cletus Maggard (?)'s "The White Knight."  This is just unlistenable.

Truly hideous -- so it won't surprise you to learn it was a #1 Country single.

Some fine forgotten gems in the first hour, tho': Garfunkel's "Breakaway", the Spinners' "Love or Leave", Ms Ronstadt's pedal-steel-y Smokey cover, and Big Barry lettin' the music play because "She's at home... yeah... she's at home..." And I must admit a soft spot for EJ's silly "Grow Some Funk". Oh, he was so MACHO!  Guess love wasn't so tender with his fanny.

I've tuned into the '80s version at the start of Hour2 -- Cher at #29 with "Ah Found Sohmwhon", followed by George Michael's Faith Machine.

Pick up on THIS! '80s BOS to Salt'n'Pepa's fabulous, seminal "Push It" -- all the straight guys at my Queens gym in 1988 thought they were saying "Pussy's REAL good!"


Followed by the equally ground-breaking "Pump Up the Volume".
