click on file thumbnail to enlarge

er...  ??? ??? ???
???
in other words... WHAT "file thumbnail"? Where is it?
there is a feature in this message board that allows for a file upload (I've set it to less than 128K) without having to upload to a server first.  It shows first as a small image, but then you click on it, and it expands to full size.  if you go back to the post here:

you should see a paper clip icon and a small image of a cartoon Mt. Rushmore.
it's under the "Additional Options" link under the posting window.

Nope, sorry -- nowhere to be seen, at least on my home computer.

well, it seems to only work when I'm logged in.  Pretty useless!  I have been using this for a while, but nobody ever told me before that it doesn't work!

In case you missed Bill Maher's last "New Rules" of the season... he's newly-optimistic about America after the election, so...

oh, and Missouri's STILL "too close to call"...

I'm quite amazed that Missouri voted for Stevenson in '56.

elsewhere on that site it says it looks like Stevens is losing the Alaska senate race.  He's down 2300 votes with about 8000 left to count, and Begich has been steadily increasing his lead daily during this last phase.  I'll be glad to see him gone.

Great news. Last week Begich was up only just over 800, so he's definitely stretching his lead.

AP has called it for Begich; he's up by something like 3300 votes with only 2500 left to count.

Yay!  Here's the story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/stevens

And double yay: This means the senate won't have to toss Stevens out on his ass, so there won't be a special election to fill his seat, and that dumbs*** b**** they have for a governor up there will have to cool her heels in Wasilla for a couple more years at least before she gets another shot at national office.

And today's Stevens' 85th birthday. A fitting present for such a slimeball. Happy birthday, Ted, you're out of a job.
Let's get right to it.
