today's Gallup tracking poll has Obama back ahead, albeit by a nose (47-45), and his electoral vote lead is back up.

According to what I heard yesterday, Palin's bubble may have burst; her negatives went up and her positives went down -- a net loss of 10 points in 3 days.

I have heard the line "I can see Russia from my house" repeated in public at least 3 times since Saturday.  And not in a good way.

Seattle music crit Michaelangelo Matos explains the link between Katy Perry and Sarah Palin:

So genius I feel sick to my stomach.

One commenter on that article has nailed it even more succinctly:
I agree. Katy Perry has totally nailed the assholish behavior and attitude of a drunk straight girl looking for male attention.

Substitute Sarah Palin for Katy Perry & it still works.

Palin's Calif visit cancelled:

I'm blue (as in Dem) but not blue (as in sad).

Hannity asked her what she thought of the Tina Fey sketch, and per Politico.com "Palin called it 'hilarious' but added that she watched it with the volume down, thereby not actually hearing any of the jokes."  Wha??

How many Bush administration officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?

None.  There is nothing wrong with the light bulb; its conditions are improving every day.  Any report of its lack of incandescence is a delusional spin by the liberal media.  That light bulb has served honorably, and anything you say about its going out undermines the lighting effort.  Why do you hate freedom?

AWESOME!!!!

I would change lighting 'effect' to lighting 'effort', but still...

To be fair, McCain has the right to use "Barracuda," as his campaign has paid the licensing fees - it's an important law that works both ways.  But I would have loved it if Ann and Nancy had voiced their objections in precisely this manner; they at the same time have the right to distance themselves and their song from his campaign.

I enjoyed the Palin piece two columns below.
