HoJo, "Like to Get To Know You Well". Been ages since I've heard this one.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Edwyn Collins, "Girl Like You" -- utterly fab, one of my fave singles of the '90s.  Hope he gets well soon.

And followed by David Essex, "Hold Me Close"!
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Used very effectively in the film Better Off Dead, I might add.  :)

Skipped CG in favor of psychedelic rock again today.  Heard an Association track from Goodbye Columbus that was simply gorgeous.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

verbatim quote from the CG newscast :

"if you smoke, prepare to pay 7 pence more for a packet of fags."

I thought that expression has fallen in to disuse

"packet of fags" = "gaggle of geese"
