New to me: Brotherhood of Man, ripping off ABBA with "Angelo", a shameless mashup of "Fernando" and "Chiquitita".  Yikes.

but followed -- OMGWTFLOL -- by ONJ, "Sam".

Any of those four could appear on "Return of the Attack of the Name Game" -- and indeed, one of them does!

Listening to Greg's CGSS from Saturday -- The Four Tops' cover of "Walk Away Renee" is truly one of the most perfect marriages of artist and (cover) song ever -- whatever Motown A&R guy suggested it deserved a big Xmas bonus that year.

And it's followed by the Chi-lites, "Give Mo' Power to da Peeps". I just got a C-Ls GH that looks fab.

'LNG plays Roberta Flack, the 45 version of "First Time ever I saw Your face", one of the most intricate editing jobs ever to hit the charts. Lots of internal edits (half a phrase here, half a phrase there) all thru the song, to get it down to an airplay-friendly length.

CG retro-chart show alert: Boy George's old flame Jon Moss guests this week on From the Bottom to the Top. And he knows from bottoms and tops.

Oh --  they're counting down the week in '82 that "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" was #1....

CGSS plays Boyz II Men, "MotownPhilly"  -- if Dave can play Color Me Badd ad infinitum, why can't he play this just once?

Eddie Kendricks and the version of "Boogie Down" with the "let my love flood your Watergate" line intact. Hope that's in the 12"" version, which is on that import Motown Disco CD I just ordered.
