Odds are Ginger will do better in '80 than Bob did in '81.

Nobody can make me enjoy post-1978 Jackson Browne. (Nobody, nobody!)

VHM to Ruth Gordon in Every Which Way But Loose.  (Or was that Any Which Way You Can?)  I remember enjoying both back in the day, haven't seen either in 25 years.

Recognized Ruth Gordon's voice, but had no idea what movie that was. So thanks!

I'm thinking 'bout eternity, some kind of BOS got a hold on me.

Anyone else actually know who Bruce Cockburn was back then?  I think this is just sublime.

LOL! VHM "Whip it"

Just saw your quote -- big Upton Sinclair fan?  You know that PT Anderson of Boogie Nights fame has made a film loosely based on Sinclair's Oil, called There Will Be Blood -- lots of buzz surrounding it.

this actually made the Top 40, didn't it? I seem to remember hearing it on AT40.

Saw the preview for that on Friday, Daniel Day Lewis is the bad guy & it took me almost the entire trailer to convince myself it was him.  Really transformed since the last time I saw him in Gangs of New York.  The son from Little Miss Sunshine is the other featured actor.

I've never heard the Pretenders' "Private Life" before, so BOS for novelty alone.  Good track, too.

Very good memory!  It was Cockburn's sole Top 40 charter, making it to #21 in late spring.
