something from Venus & Mars, perhaps?

On the Drive's this-day-in-rock-history page:

"06/19/1920 -Blue Oyster Cult released the album, 'Agents of Fortune'."

Steven Seaweed made an interesting point about "One of These Nights" a while back, he said if you talk about the great guitar solos in rock history, this song has probably got the most underrated one.  In fact it's almost totally forgotten in that context, but it's a great solo.

I'd have to go back and listen again.  Whenever I hear that I'm too distracted by the heliumed backing vocals, which I can't stand: "one of these NAAAAAH---ah-ah-AH-ah-hahghts."

And I'm not wearing crankypants, but WOS to "Island Girl," a sudden collapse from what had been one of the best streaks in pop history.

totally agree.  I LOVED Capt. Fantastic, and rushed out and bought Rock of the Westies, but after one listen I was like, huh?  But the suckiness had a silver lining, because....

....my friend down the street had less well-developed tastes & he traded me straight up, one shiny, nearly new EJ record for three slightly worn old records:  Three Dog Night One, Stones Flowers & the Woodstock triple LP.

so it became my personal equivalent of the Joe Nathan trade.

Nice to know I won't be missing a Drive 10@10 Thursday.  Speaking of, Dave is NOT on vacay this week, meaning he gets to do a live Pride Set for the first time in several years. Personally, I'd prefer a "40th Anniv of Monterey Pop" set.
