I wondered why I was hearing "Fire on the Mountain" followed by "Helen Wheels" -- did the Drive retool their playlist? -- but it turns out I had accidentally clicked on Deep Tracks.

VIP on Tuesday: Shades of Blue's wonderful "Oh How Happy". I always thought this was very Curtis Mayfield-ish, but it was written by Edwin Starr.

ETA: the Soul Club Hour seems to be doing all songs with "soul" in the title (Soul Power, The Woman's Got Soul, Soul Sister Brown Sugar, etc). And OMG! it's Laura Nyro's orig of "Stoned Soul Picnic"!! Can you surrey?
