the best Motown Monday is KHUM IMHO, although today it's interspersed with local political candidates given air time.

I'll switch over after the Drive does '67.

Some lady running for city council, talking about how the homeless are there because of bad choices, and it's just too bad, but not her fault.

"back in the depression, we didn't have all  this..."

Good thing the Drive '67 set didn't include the Cowsills' "Newspaper Blanket"!

I won't get into how much we can thank Reagan for the homelessness problem, though Shray's welcome to quote from "The Clothes Have No Emperor" if he sees fit.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Bailed on a VERY long-winded interview on KPOO and clicked on KCDX in time for Frampton, "I Wanna Go To The Sun". Haven't heard this in ages.

followed by the loooooooooooooong version of CCR's "Grapevine" cover.

Now I'm on to WLNG, and it's "1-2-3 Red Light", David Byrne's fave 1910 Fruitgum Co song.

Bailed on a VERY long-winded interview on KPOO

No shit, long-winded. I came back from lunch around 2, it was still going on, left my headphones sitting on the desk while doing a few other things, hoping they'd finish up. Finally bagged it some time after 2:30. Jeez, their audience must have been down to zero by then.
Let's get right to it.

I'm picturing the host begging Judge to let him do the show this week: "Man, I got an interview with STEVE ARRINGTON!!"  And Judge saying "Yeah , sure, whatever, go for it".  But lawd -- you interview for 10 minutes, play a few tunes, interview some more... not 90+ minutes of phone-quality Q&A with a guy who just goes on & on & on. "Let me tell you about the day I met Coke Escovedo..."
