Oh my! "To Each His Own", a Van McCoy comp done by Faith Hope & Charity, one of the Three Degrees clones of the mid-'70s. (Ecstasy Passion & Pain was another).

followed by Silver Convention, "Get Up & Boogie" That's RIGHT!

It's Disco Central today.

"Ecstasy Passion & Pain"?

Ye gods.  I must research.

Holy hell, that Disco Museum site is a treat!  Bookmarked for my continuing-education.

VIP is doing an hour of R&B covers of rock hits -- Wilson Pickett just did a killer "Born to be Wild", now the Isleys "Love The One You're With". catch it before it's over at 2.

OK, it's not ALL covers, it's also "soulful rock" : Jimi's "Fire" followed by PG&E, "Are You Ready?" and the Chambers Bros.  Great stuff in any case.

That was a truly exhilirating hour of music.

Interestingly, the following hour started with the opposite number: a white guy going black -- Bowie, "Young Americans".  Is there a woman I can sock on the jaw?

OMGWTFLOL! Jerry Reed, "Amos Moses"!! Make it count, son!

"named him after a man of the cloth..."

I love the fact that he tries to rhyme "groceries" with "Moses".

"you can sho' get lost in the Louisiana bayou!"
