The reason I'm at home today is that Christina had her surgery this morning, at the hospital less than 10 minutes away in Castro Valley.  She was already out by 9:30 & the surgeon gave her a clean bill, but she won't be in her room until 11 to have visitors.  As soon as the set is over I'm taking the little guy to school & then back to the hospital with Christina's mom for a visit.  As far as the cancer goes, everything should be fine after this, and she'll have pap smears every four months for the next couple of years to keep an eye on things.

I was going to ask if that was happening today. Sounds like things went as fast and easily as you could have hoped for. Hang in there, my friend. We're with ya.

And BOS2 'Placemats.
Let's get right to it.

For '85, at least we're getting a pretty good selection of non-Katrinas. Closest candidates so far are the Murray Head and Marillion tunes, and I don't think we hear either quite often enough to qualify.

This Percy tune is as much of an obscurity as the Chris Isaak. VHM, but so far I'm sticking with the Kinks as my lone BOS candidate.

Actually the TFF is a bonafide Katrina now & Cockrobin is one of the most egregious.

BOS #3 the unmistakeable vocal strains of the Replacements.

Know what you mean. Up til now I've resisted stuffing the virtual ballot box, but I'm starting to think it might be prudent.
Let's get right to it.

HM to A-ha, perhaps the greatest rock video of all time.

The video was pretty cool but the song sucked. I hated it in 1985, I hate it now.

Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" video somewhat same technique, but much better song!
