Not many can push Van so far into the background on his own record.

"Runaway Trina", one of the inevitables. If this were a Dave set, I'd say "can Blind Melon be far behind?" but I expect Ginger will be a tad more creative.

keys were made to be turned; he needs someone to help him realize his potential.  Or so I always interpreted the line.

Locking or unlocking?
Clockwise or counterclockwise?

I think the blokes in the band say that they were influenced by the Smiths & My Bloody Valentine.

whatever they may say, they made their reputation by being dubbed "Radiohead Lite", fairly or unfairly.

Didn't know anything about this tune #5, "So Much Mine", but after checking AMG I think I'm going to have to check this out.

There's also a track called "Amelia" on it.

Which tune from Crash Test Dummies 2nd album will Ginger play?  I'm guessing the 3rd track, but  either of the first two would be cool.

1.  God Shuffled His Feet
2.  Afternoons and Coffeespoons
3.  MMM, MMM, MMM, MMM

New to me too. Big in Boulder, apparently. Is that anything like being Big in Japan?

Wow, a Crash Test Dummies song I've never heard!

ETA:
Yay Ginger!!  As she said, "It's not often you get a little T. S. Elliott invoked in pop songs."

...which probably means we should proxy for Geoff as well.

You should get a copy of this album from me next time we hook up, it's pretty good all through (that is if you have already acquired the taste for CDT's unique humor & orchestration)
