I may not be available to listen to this one, but here's hoping Bob keeps his streak of well-above-average sets going.

Hrm ... stream's not working -- I get the opening commercial and then silence. This is happening both on the WDRV site link and the "back door". Deep Tracks is working, tho'.  Dammit!

Missed the first 20 mins or so... here's  F.MAC, "Don't Stop", and now I'm off again.

Whenever I hear Frampton's "I'm In You" all I can think of is John Hurt's stomach exploding in Alien.

no joke.

Well Tune #10 better bring us home with a bang, otherwise this set is pretty fair-to-middlin'.

So far:
STEELY DAN - JOSIE
FOREIGNER - STARRIDER
BOB WELCH - EBONY EYES
HEART - KICK IT OUT
DAVE MASON - WE JUST DISAGREE
FLEETWOOD MAC - DON'T STOP
TED NUGENT - CAT SCRATCH FEVER
PETER FRAMPTON - I'M IN YOU
THE SANFORD/TOWNSEND BAND - SMOKE FROM A DISTANT FIRE

ETA: Wrapped up with ELVIS COSTELLO - ANGELS WANNA WEAR MY RED SHOES, not too shabby.

1970 on tap for Monday.

Flipped over to Deep Tracks until KBCO & was rewarded with Yes "Heart of the Sunrise".  Yay Prog Rock!

Well, kudos for the Foreigner (one ya never hear) and I'd've BOS'd Heart.  All in all, Bob's had a fine week ("I'm in You" notwithstanding).

If I'd only heard the first 5 songs instead of only hearing the last 4 I'd have probably rated the set higher.

No love for "Smoke From a Distant Fire"?  Love the song, could've fit in on a Boz Scaggs album.

Oh I absolutely love SFADF -- I just don't consider it a rarity anymore. And you are right on about it being Scaggs-ish.  I was looking at my old Boz vinyl and I'd completely forgotten he did Allen Toussaint's "Freedom For The Stallion" on My Time, several years before the Hues Corp covered it.
