I don't suppose there's any chance of hearing Micky Dolenz's (original recording of) Nilsson's "Daybreak."

And I wish I weren't kinda tired of "Listen to the Music."

we wouldn't even get Nilsson's version if this were the right year for it.

BOS to America's "Horse With No Name."  I think it was one of you who pointed out the clever arrangement, in which the first refrain is sung by one member, who's joined by a second for the second refrain, and then all three in harmony on the third refrain.  Sounding especially good this a.m.

Which I'd've liked better if he'd've pronounced it "BEW-ga-loo."

BOS #2 ELP "From The Beginning"

Greg Lake is actually a fine guitar player, in case you never noticed before.

gorgeous, and it will forever remind me of that summer, sitting in my aunt's backyard on eastern L.I. and hearing this on various distant radio stations from Connecticut.

Ditto.

WOS, natch, to "Take It Easy," while I try to find something clever to say about Aztec Two-Step for this concert preview.  Anyone have an MP3 of their "Persecution and Restoration of Dean Moriarty," while I'm thinking of it?

Well, I found a 30-second clip at http://www.aztectwostep.com/Albums/Aztec_Two_Step/Songs/DeanMoriarty.mp3, good enough for now.

And BOS to "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)," and if I could find a current band making music like this I'd be the happiest girl in the U. S. of A.
