Tue 4/7/15: April 1971

Stones, Marvin, Janis, Seatrain (!)

Tuned in tonite to hear Seatrain (great record) but OMFG: ELP, "Take a Pebble" (all 12-1/2 mins of it!), which I haven't heard in a gazillion years, gets uber-uber-BOSFRA.

OTOH: I never need to hear "Joy to the World" or "Bobby McGee" ever again.

eek: the player is actually working, so of course the first thing I hear is Yes, "Leave It". One of my all-time HFHs.

also: JCM, VH, TTs, DM, Eurythmics.

ABB ain't wastin' time; the Cat Man breaks morning; Yes go 'round-about.

Also: Neil Y. Jo Jo Gunne, Deep Purple, Dr John ("Iko Iko"), Crosby/Nash ("Page 43", an uber-rarity), Badfinger, F Mac ("Spare Me a Little")

Fri 4/10/15: April 1991

There she Blows: the La's with an uber-LN.

Doobies get "Dangerous", a decent rarity.

Sting shows up. VHM "Soul Cages"

School of Fish, "3 Strange LNs"

Simple Minds see the lights.

Scorpions, "Wind of Change" -- VHM to a nice surprise. Will have to put this on my '91 request list -- it's been played exactly once, by DM in 2008.

VHM Violent Femmes "American Music"

BOS Roger McGuinn, "Someone to Love", a very worthy rarity indeed.

Eric Johnson, "Trademark"

oy: "Walking in Memphis" -- interesting that Rob pegs this as an April song; I first heard it in June of that year when I was driving across country.
