It's at least appropriate to play KTT, as KFOG legitimately played a significant role in her breaking through in the states.

BOS Obama

The girl who won the 9:00 pop quiz this morning didn't seem to think so  ;)

Viva La Vida = overplayed but still Coldplay at their finest & a good rep of 2008.  BOS4 on principle.

this is such a non-KFOG set.

as are most of her Live-105-ish '90s excursions. Speaks volumes about the wussiness of the Triple-A format.

True, but there are a # of legitimate Triple A songs I can think of this decade that would have been good choices.  Life On a Chain, When You're Falling, Camera One, Destiny, Ghost, Cannonball, The Little Things, & others.

As for her 90s sets being Live 105 ish that's true also but when did AAA officially become a format of its own?  If I recall most Alt. stations in the 90s were very similar to Triple A now.  I mean even Jewel was an alternative staple back then.

I think AAA came into being around the same time, '92 or so--think Lyle Lovett, k.d. lang, Rembrandts, 10,000 Maniacs etc.
Let's get right to it.

True, but not as significant as American Idol  :-\

VHM to Coldplay, overplayed though "Viva la Vida" may have been.  Still sends chills when the mood is right.

I'm glad she held of until this album, I really didn't warm to their first couple albums but Vivi La Vida is quite good top to bottom.

Triple-A has been a separate format since the early '90s. That's what made KFOG diff from Live 105 all those years.  If you heard Arcade Fire on KFOG this weekend, I'm guessing it has something to do with Fogheads' best-of-the-decade lists (see previous post about the White Stripes).

Was this big on KFOG?  I've actually never heard U2's "Magnificent" until now, though I know it charted on the Hot 100.

I guess it makes sense to play U2 & Coldplay back-to-back.
