Bummer: Oakland's wonderful Le Cheval is closing tonite -- apparently their landlord is one horrible bitch.

You'll notice from the sign that this used to be an H. Salt Fish and Chips:



I used to stop there in 72-73 on the way to seeing the Dead at Winterland.  I always considered fish a good brain food, necessary for a long night in the zone.
