Just heard the Capital Cities song, which has been dormant since BP took over, preceded by the KFOG favorites best new artist #10 sweeper.  Which is probably why they dug it out.

Speaking of, I wonder if "Safe and Sound" and other songs removed from/never on KFOG's rotation will be on Monday's 10@10.  Maybe "Same Love" by Macklemore/Ryan Lewis/Mary Lambert. (The survey this year actually listed plenty of songs that weren't part of KFOG's regular rotation, unlike last year's which omitted many songs, even ones that were on their playlist.)

Are you referring to stats from Mediabase?  Number of Foghead votes from the survey?  Something else (or any and/or all of the above?)

Any sort of statistic that might indicate to the listener that the selections weren't made by management.

I am not overly optimistic that this show is going to be one of the all time bests.

if "Safe & Sound" is indeed #10 on the Foghead poll, it will be the first song we hear. And Imagine Dragons is #6, I think.  This will basically be what the first 2013 10@10 will sound like 10 years from now  ;)

ETA: oh wait, "best song" and "best new artist" are 2 diff things. oops.

I like #10 and #6.  #s 4, 5, and 8 make me blorf.  #9 sounds like everything that TTWS released 20 years ago.  #2 is going to be The Mowgli's San Francisco.
