Todd Rundgren, "Couldn't I Just Tell You?"

Great song, this will probably be my official BOS vote.

uber-BOS4 Todd "Couldn't I Just Tell You", one of the truly great shouldabeens of all time. What a fabulous 45. It peaked at  #93 (!). For shame, America.

'72 too soon for power pop; just ask Jody Stephens (lone surviving member of Big Star).

Brady Kids cartoon theme.

uber-uber-BOS5 3DN's fantabulous "Black & White", their finest hour. Damn, 3 chapters of my book just wrote themselves. Thanks, Renee!

Eric Carmen would beg to differ. ;)

BOS6 and proxy of Geoff 2: Jerry, "The Wheel"

This set hasn't had anything we haven't heard before yet it's been most delightful IMHO.

Jerry Garcia "The Wheel"

This is a good one, for sure. I also like the guitar solos he recorded for the movie, Zabriskie Point, which has a great soundtrack overall.

I don't think '72 when I hear this.  I guess it's because the material was developed in '71.  Loser and Sugaree were both played live in '71, and it has that feel.

Doobie Bros, "Rockin' Down the Highway" followed by Allman Bros "Ain't Wastin' Time"

BOS1 ABB. Proxy of Geoff.
Seeing ABB at BCT in '72 (after Duane died, before Berry died) was one of the hottest shows I'd ever seen.

Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin"

BOS from me and this is a bust-out.  I haven't heard it in a while, so it's a pleasant surprise.

BTW Three Dog Night  was also a bust-out.

A satisfactory outing, a bit on the pop-y side... but 1972 was better than this, and so could have been this set.
