Eagles... Looking Glass... and now one of my fave non-Top-Ten follow-ups to a #1, Johnny Nash, "Stir It Up".

Early BOS for me is this Stones tune.

Can you imagine seeing Stevie open for them on tour?  What a bill.

I've been to Tuscon & Tehachapi, and before I die I will get to Tonopah & Tucumcari.  Seriously, this is one of my life quests.

And if you give me-ee-ee-ee

We spent the night in Tonopah.  A has-been city that used to be the home of the Stealth fighter.  We were on a cruise down lonely highways at the time.

Nice Godfather montage, including one of my favorite lines that no one mentions.

Now they're based in Alamagordo NM, and since my cousin was a flight surgeon at the base we got to go hang out by the runway & watch them land from about 100 feet away.  Later on that road trip I had to cut out my plans to shoot over to the east to see Tucumcari because our schedule was out of whack.  Still regret it.

Have fun the rest of the a.m. guys.  I got a breakfast meeting in 10 minutes, which is good because I'm starving., but bad because I'll miss all the KBCO set & most of the KFOG.  Ah well.

TGIF!

Wow, that's a hell of a threesome.  Nice.

BOS to "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)," a magnificent record from the strained backing vocals to the electric piano (not quite as grand as King Harvest, but hey) to that nice horn chart.  That record hits me to the core, in ways that go beyond words -- the recording moreso than the underlying song, I guess.

P.S.  Something else I've been wondering: Are all of you SO COMPLETELY FUCKING ANYTHING-GOES THAT I CAN MAKE MY AVATAR MICHAEL NESMITH AS A FUCKING WOMAN AND NOT ONE OF YOU BATS AN EYE?  WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO SHOCK PEOPLE AROUND HERE!  I'M-A GO MARILYN MANSON ON ALL Y'ALLS that is all.

Well, it did kinda resemble Michael Nesmith, wool hat and all, but otherwise, I wasn't sure what it was supposed to be.  It lacks that, how you say, representationality one needs to pickup such a literal message!

Yeah, what Geoff said. Or rather, I got the Michael Nesmith part, no problem. But the fact that he's portrayed as a woman, not so much.

Jim, who's had Peter Gabriel with bat wings as his avatar going on a couple of months now. Yes, am looking for a replacement.
Let's get right to it.
