That would seem to indicate then that she's still operating under the thumb of the PD. At least this PD has a better sense of how the franchise should work.
But still, that's a really really lame thing to say on the air -- I hope she got reamed out by her boss about that little crack.
Yeah, at the very least, it's impolitic to call out your station's decision maker in public like that. Not to mention your listeners who like music of that era.
eh, a little lame that she's not toeing the line officially, but showing some musical preferences is sorta OK. Deejays have personalities, and occasionally they're cool or fun. Maybe she laughed a little after that quip and said "Just kidding!" which of course makes all transgressions a-ok in today's world.
