NOOOOOOOOOO!!! WOS Paula Cole.

A bona fide HFH, but a few of these have been treading close to that territory.
Let's get right to it.

The eels, "Susan's House" -- NTM. Did this get airplay anywhere in '96? -- I was listening to KFOG and Live 105 and this ain't ringing any bells.

NTM too, but I was never aware of the Eels on regular radio. Only heard them on RadioParadise.

the g-snipes didn't seem too pleased but I'd call this one pretty good -- the Wallflowers was really the only song that gets played in regular KFOG rotay; we began and ended with songs from my 1996 best-of mix and I can't really bitch about too much else, even tho' I'm not a DMB or Phish fan and everybody hates Paula Cole.  The exact opposite of a DC '96-fest.

Uh, I like this Paula cole song and it would get a BOS nod from me.  Like most material from
the past 20+ years, I usually only hear it on 10@10, so I haven't been over-exposed to it.

Listened to the set last night, and really enjoyed it... even "Three Marlenas" sounded good. I don't get the Paula Cole hate.

Looks like another set to catch.  The only truly LN track IMO is the Phish one, also Paula Cole WHATCG has a fair amount of spins for being a year we haven't gone to that much.  A couple Alice tracks, but I don't think I'll even mind Paula Cole, Wallflowers, and the Verve Pipe on this one since Alice tracks can sound decent when the 10@10 isn't an entire Alice sample hour (like many late 90s sets are.)  Glad to see the Mission Impossible theme song here. (which, on an episode of Rick Dees Top 40, fell 23 spaces one week from its peak 10-33.)

Actually heard that episode. Of course, according to Dees it was "down to #33".

I like the Paula Cole song too.  It was different than the other stuff out at the time, and more musical to my ear.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
