In retrospect i'm kinda surprised every station in the country hasn't been playin' the heck out of this song. Very appropo post-Katrina.

BOS the original Banana Splits Theme!!!!!!!!!

VHM "Cinnamon Girl", one of my all-time favorite heavy guitar riffs, right there with "La Grange".

every station in the country is owned by Clear Channel... :wink:

Randy Newman's "Louisiana 1927" ("they're tryin' to wash us away...") is also one that oughta be dusted off -- he did it on the telethon Fri nite. KPIG has been playing Aaron Neville's version of it.

totally.  And hearing "Badge" really seals the deal.

ETA:  I'm sure I mentioned this before, but the bridge in this song is my all-time favorite bridge in any song anywhere.

the LP was '68 but "Badge" apparently was a single in '69 (before Blind Faith was released).

Killer set.  My BOS woulda been Zep, but not by a lot.  "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is probably my favorite song off of the first album.  It's pretty.

My rerun BOS goes to "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down."  Amazing how far afield they were from what everyone else was doing.

Would you believe I've never heard Joan Baez's hit version?  I know it hit #3, so why do no Oldies or JACK stations resuscitate it?
