Tues Sept 13- it's a cl***ic from...1988
« on: September 13, 2005, 10:01:29 AM »
I'll fix the subject in a bit. Just realized it was 10 already, and I assume this Wilburys song is not the end of the Morning show.

ETA: There. Subject reflects the (semi-)correct year
Let's get right to it.

HUH!??

"Inside Out" is from TW, vol 3, which came out in 1990.  Not TW, vol 1 which coincided with the Bush/Dukakis election.

That's a pretty big screw up.

wouldn't be the first time

maybe Escape Club is the "wrong" one.  Song #3 will tell the tale.

ETA: #3 is Percy "Long Cool One" (BOS!) so yeah it's supposed to be '88.

No WMD in Iraq was a "pretty big screw-up" -- this is just a radio show.

I'll take your point.

Couple nights ago the Phillies' Billy Wagner blew a save against his former team the Astros, whom they closely trail in the NL wild card race.  A reporter asked him to talk about the devastating loss & Wagner said, "First of all we are going to stop using the word 'devastating'.  This was just a baseball game.  New Orleans is devastating."

LOL! It's all about context...

BOS 2 "Copperhead Road". They often call him Speedo but his real name is Mr Earle.

I have not seen the Chevy cmml using his song since the All-Star Game.  Maybe he changed his mind?

BOS 3 "Everybody Knows".  This is a better-than average '88 set, or maybe my standards are lowering.
