sounds like a decent set.

better than decent, and you know I rarely say that any more.

great set, IMHO. Are we on a lucky streak or is BP bringing something else to the table?

btw, you can listen here:

as I said on FB, it's hard to say whether this is a trend or an outlier. I mean Monday's '82 was pretty bad and yesterday '78 was pretty good. Tomorrow's probably our '90s set for the week.

Perhaps I wasn't comparing it to how pedestrian her '67 sets have been.  If I had Cap'n Jack's energy, I'd whip up a '67 set too!  But "If 6 Was 9" is so wonderful to hear on the radio, isn't it?
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

I left the GS group... Needed a little break ... I'll be back at some point, and will prob be here more than I had been.

wow, are we getting more '60s sets or what?
TOTHK: the Fab Four, with a worthy B-side rarity: "Baby You're a Rich Man".  BOS1.
Lennon's jab at Brian Epstein. And a bustout -- at least per the Shraytabase it is.

AL played it twice in 2010.  The bustouts appear to be "If 6 Was 9" and "20th Century Fox."

I note that the clips and sounders from DM ("Who's got the Beatles?," "whether home or in
your car, this is where you really are") and AL (Slicker byYardley) continued to mined for use
in current sets.

Well, "Pleasant Valley" isn't exactly rare but it's still delightful, despite my "rich songwriters dissing materialism" complaint.

"Presenting honest stories of working people as told by rich Hollywood stars!"

I never saw this song as a diss on materialism, rather a lament about suburban complacency and
Thoreau's "lives of quiet desperation."

OMFG: uber-BOS5 and proxy of gaz, "Embryonic Journey".  WNEW-FM's standard "just before the network news at the top o' the hour" instrumental.

I also had that recollection upon hearing this.  One of the morning jocks often used "Peaches En
Regalia" as well.  And was it Pete Fornatale or Jonathon Schwartz that ended their slot with
Vince Guaraldi's "Cast Your Fate to the Wind?"  Ah, the golden days of FM radio...

And this, boys and girls, is how you open a radio show:

Damn, I lurve "Dandelion". BOS6.

This is one of the songs on my "pop oboe" list.  Pop flute was easy; pop french horn is a bit harder.

Ah, back when he was good!  According to wikipedia, that's a flugelhorn.  My vinyl is not readily
accessible, so I can't check the credits there.
