Your high school had its own radio station?  Damn, I'm envious.

I'm also stressed right now.  I've a million things to do to prep for a summit in DC this weekend and I can't get myself interested.  Writing about music and gay sports seems so utterly trivial that I'm making myself sick.  I know, Morford addressed this very topic today, but while his words are sage, they're just not sinking in.  Engaging life on this distant level is all I can handle for now.

i hear you. i've been drinking too much, i think. trying to be numb. i'm waiting for the red cross to give me an assignment. they may send me to the gulf. i signed up last week, and i should know by the end of this week.

aaarrrrgh....not better than yesterday. Where's the disco!?

What was the problem with yesterday's set? It wasn't stellar, but it was decent. XTC, Stones, Prince, Gary Numan, Dire Straits, Split Enz. (ETA: Oh yeah, and Blondie, too!) Save for the Eddie Money song, what's not to like?

Nothing to dislike, just not my favorite time period. Prince, Gary, Dire straits, Blondie, all good.

Ali's "That '70s Gal".  It's early, Miz Cat -- disco's a-comin', I can feel it.

You guys didn't like the Eddie money song yesterday?  I was listening while driving and thought that was the highlight, and very surprised that a plurality of voters thought so too.  Certainly it was the furthest afield that Dave ventured in the set.

She should make a movie with Gwynneth Pale-trow!

WOS to Dave for NOT following the Midnight Express clip with Giorgio Moroder's fab theme.  Joe Walsh -- feh!  Too many Katrinas are spoiling the broth.

It's become one of Dave's fallback "obscurities".  And we've been way cranky lately while you've been sunning yourself in Mexico

I liked the live version, which I saw the Eagles do in '79, in which he changes the line to "...my fans they can't wait.  They write Tim letters, tell Glenn Don's great!"
