I surely had not heard this since 1970.

the Campbell version of "Both Sides Now": nice. Inspired by the Collins version in the season finale of Mad Men?  "and if you care, don't let them know/don't give yourself away" is surely Don Draper's mantra.

OMFG: this Doris Troy thing is great!  NTM and a total gem.

I surely had not heard this since 1970.

the Campbell version of "Both Sides Now": nice. Inspired by the Collins version in the season finale of Mad Men?  "and if you care, don't let them know/don't give yourself away" is surely Don Draper's mantra.

Yes and no -- I had several covers of this lying around (my recent '69 set used Neil Diamond's rendition), but hearing it during the end credits of Mad Men didn't hurt the chances of Glen Campbell's cover making it to this set.

Funny I'dnever heard it -- Ronnie Spector's "Try Some, Buy Some", also a Harry Georgesong, got quite a bit of prog-FM exposure in NY in 1970.

I started this one playing before I opened the setlist to see who was playing what, and thought the first song could have been the Dixie Dregs. Until the horns came in.

Some great power pop in here: Shoes, Holly & the Italians (BOS!), and the Utopia tune is kind of a curiosity, from their "let's see how much we can sound like the Beatles album, Deface the Music.

Two consecutive sets with "Love is All Around." Gotta say, I think I prefer the original, MTM version with the horns to this slightly mellower, countrified version.

Oh, and Robert Palmer covering early Beatles? Man, where has that been all my life? I am certain I never heard it before today. Nicely done.
