Here is the 1972 set re-uploaded:

Don't know about soundcloud and others, but aren't there services that would allow you enough
space to store more than two shows at a time?  Or is there another benefit that I'm missing?

What format are they in?  Are people downloading them for future use or just listening to them
online?

SoundCloud (in "free" mode) allows up to 2 hours of storage.  Since my sets last between 40-50
minutes, I can only have two shows up at a time, unless I want to pay for the "pro package", and
I don't want to do that -- I'm doing this for fun, and I don't want to pay for that!

The shows are in mp3 format.  You have the option of streaming it or downloading it.

What's the size range for these files?  What's your average bit rate?

There probably are, but I'm sticking with SoundCloud, as I'm mirroring the actual 10@10.

Sizes range from 50 to 80 Mb. Average bit rate 192kbps.

My 1988 set:

 1. Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians - Balloon Man
 2. Fairground Attraction - Perfect
(News: Dan Quayle)
 3. Warren Zevon - Reconsider Me
(Movie: Die Hard - Hans Gruber vs. John McClane)
 4. Brenda Russell - Piano In The Dark
 5. Pet Shop Boys - Domino Dancing
(TV: Late Night with David Letterman - guest Shirley Maclaine)
 6. Lita Ford - Kiss Me Deadly
 7. Joan Jett - I Hate Myself For Loving You
(Roy Orbison discusses Traveling Wilburys)
 8. Traveling Wilburys - Not Alone Any More
(Lyle Lovett discusses "new country")
 9. Lyle Lovett - L.A. County
10. Morrissey - Margaret On The Guillotine

https://soundcloud.com/capnjack-1/33-10-10-1988

Enjoy!

OMFG: half my '88 "wish list" is here. I requested the Lita Ford and Joan Jett tunes from AL and suggested it would make a great "former Runaways twin-spin" but she only played JJ.

"Perfect" -- a UK #1 -- is one of my favorite '80s shouldabeens (later a country hit for Baillie & the Boys, amazingly). The Zevon LP was great. And the Bangles were idiots for turning down "Balloon Man".

ETA: this was truly spectacular, and proof that those boring late-'80s years do not have to be.

Boy, was Dan Quayle a bonehead.

Really nice set--far better than most 88 sets we've heard "officially." Particular props for the Zevon tune, the Runaways twin-spin, and the great audio clips. Shirley MacLaine taking the piss out of Letterman was great, and I liked hearing Roy Orbison's comments on the Wilburys.

Thanks for the comments.  I'm trying, and I'm glad you are enjoying the results!

My 1977 set:

 1. Jerry Reed - East Bound And Down
(Movie: Star Wars - "I find your lack of faith disturbing")
 2. Elvis Costello - Waiting For The End Of The World
 3. Arthur Prysock - When Love Is New
 4. Dave Edmunds - I Knew The Bride
(News: Anita Bryant gets a pie in the face)
 5. Eddie and the Hot Rods - Do Anything You Wanna Do
 6. Billy Joel - Scenes From An Italian Restaurant
(TV: Match Game 77 - "Old Man Periwinkle said...")
 7. The Rubinoos - I Think We're Alone Now
(Radio dial: Johnny Rivers - "Swayin' To The Music (Slow Dancin')")
 8. Funky Kings - Slow Dancing
 9. Joe Tex - Ain't Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman)
(Movie: Rabid)
10. Marilyn Chambers - Benihana

Really liked the '77 set; goes to show that there are some good songs in that year--we just don't often hear any on the current iteration of 10@10. (Really, only AL was able to consistently come up with interesting sets from 77-78. Dave for some reason like to hit the dross in those years almost as much as RR/DC do.)

My 1978 set:

 1. The Ramones - I Wanted Everything
(Commercial: Lowenbrau and lobsters)
 2. Lou Rawls - Lady Love
(TV: WKRP In Cincinnati)
 3. Neil Young - Lotta Love
 4. Robert Gordon with Link Wray - Fire
(News: Jonestown Massacre)
 5. Elvis Costello - Living In Paradise
(Commercial: Lowenbrau and trout featuring Danny Aiello)
 6. Lene Lovich - I Think We're Alone Now
(TV: The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash)
 7. The Rutles - Let's Be Natural
(News: George Moscone and Harvey Milk assassinated)
 8. Bob Dylan - Seņor (Tales Of Yankee Power)
 9. Talking Heads - The Girls Want To Be With The Girls
(Commercial: Lowenbrau and steak featuring Robert Pine)
10. Arthur Prysock - Here's To Good Friends

loving this one. that segue from WKRP to "Lotta Love" was Morey-worthy.

And I surely had not heard that Elvis C tune in a dog's age. "I don't want you walkin' 'round with physical jerks". Heh.

Time to re-visit the Rutles, methinks.

I've been taking particular attention/care in the late '70s sets (and late '80s), as I've noticed the lack of enthusiasm for them -- especially from dischead.  There is good music from these years -- you just have to make an effort to find them.  :)

Yes, please.

Bro, I really do appreciate your efforts in all this, but you if can leave these things up a little longer, I think more folks might have a chance to check 'em out. Maybe four a week is about the most I can manage.

Alternately, could you perhaps give a day's notice before you pull one down so we might download it to listen at our leisure?  That wouldn't eliminate the need for you to re-upload entirely, but it might cut down on it a bit.  Thanks!!

I'd heard *of* it but had never heard it until now. Huey's always struck me as a ripoff of Macca (circa "Coming Up"). This is a little less bombastic.

But all hail "Eugene", a big hit on early alt-radio, and which actually features Ace Frehley. "Ahm a cool dood in a loose mood."  Oh, and Fridays was quite underrated in its day, sez me.  And the Michael Stanley Band tune -- their big sorta-"hit" after years as East Coast cult faves -- sounds very much like it shoulda been covered by Rick Springfield.
