Billy Swan "I Can Help"
WOS. Never liked this one.

No like or dislike, but I thought he was trying to rip off Ringo Starr. Which has me scratching my head a bit.
Let's get right to it.

Will we get a songs from '74 were so short comment? Of course, this set went for the pop charts mostly and skipped the prog.

Was wondering the same thing. Had this set started at 10 on the dot, it wouldn't even be 10:40 yet.

Yeah, there must have been several songs, er, musical suites, released in '74 that were longer than the entire set put together.

Grateful Dead "Scarlet Begonias" - BOS proxy of ggould
Good one from the Dead. Super fast for them.
One of the most precise arrangements of theirs.  It very quickly became less organized in a live setting.  I love it!

He wrote it for Elvis, who turned it down... but who did it in his live shows later on after Swan's version hit #1.

Don't feel like I missed anything major here. And yes, it's totally Morey-licious.

The Sirius Satellite Station called "1st Wave" (channel 33) plays the old school new wave stuff, and I heard Rebel Rebel on the station last week.

My alternative 1974 playlist:

 1. Daryl Hall & John Oates - Can't Stop The Music (He Played It Much Too Long)
 2. Prelude - After The Goldrush
(Paul McCartney talks about Peggy Lee)
 3. Peggy Lee - Let's Love
 4. Glen Campbell - Houston (I'm Comin' To See You)
(TV: The Rockford Files)
 5. Fancy - Wild Thing
 6. Chicago - Prelude To Aire / Aire
(HFH Medley: Terry Jacks - Seasons In The Sun / Blue Swede - Hooked On A Feeling / Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods - Billy, Don't Be A Hero / Paper Lace - The Night Chicago Died)
 7. Patti Dahlstrom - He Did Me Wrong, But He Did It Right
 8. Grateful Dead - Ship Of Fools
(News: Nixon resigns)
 9. Lamont Dozier - Fish Ain't Bitin'
10. David Bowie - Sweet Thing / Candidate / Sweet Thing (Reprise)

I was tempted to include Robert Palmer's "Sailin' Shoes/Hey Julia/Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley", but that's such a frequent flier, as good as it may be...  :)
