Iggy Pop "Real Wild Child"
Pretty clumsy transition out of the movie clip.

'86, I'm guessing coulda been Pretty in Pink
Roger that.

Fabulous Thunderbirds "Wrap It Up"

cold we put together an all-male band by guys named Kim?

Yes, I think so:

Kim Wilson (Fab T-Birds) - Vox & harp
Kim Simmonds (Savoy Brown) -  Guitar)

I guess that's all we need, b/c that's all I can think of

Hmm, must disagree here. Today's song selections, including Winwood, do not count among life's finer things, IMO. Although this D&D, while probably LN, is very evocative of the '80's.

Kim Thayil, Soundgarden, guitar. You could switch him or Simmonds to bass, then you'd just need a drummer.

a Nov '86 release whose chart peak was indeed in '87.  It's the Renee way.

But Wall Street is indeed from late '87.

I was thinking '87 about the Wall Street clip, too.

This is another one of those songs whose best attribute is the Beavis & Butthead video about it. "'Isn't that your cousin?' 'Oh yeah, I think it is Richard-head.'l

Wall Street was not only an '87 release, but December '87.

To be fair, though, the financial corruption theme was big news for the whole latter half of the decade. Good thing that's been relegated to the dustbin of history.

TANC: Last night on the Daily Show, Jon Stewart and John Hodgman did a bit based on that "greed" speech from Wall Street.
Let's get right to it.
