Hope you had a good birthday!
It was really an uneventful day except the number of people saying Happy Birthday seemed like double it had been in previous years. Thank FB & Skype for some of that, what with notifications you get. But for example me Taiwanese parents-in-law called (they live in SF now), which they only remember to do off and on, and they don't really do social media.
And for another, example my freshman college roommate who now lives in Atlanta called, and he's not called on my b-day in literal decades (even though I have remembered his more than once). We've always been close even when there have years between contact, and of late we've been in touch a bit because his daughter is moving to the South Bay soon.
Anyway...I got a voicemail of him singing Happy Birthday to me, a capella & off key and everything!
So it was a very different day, and just what I needed! Thanks again everybody.
