catching a brief listen.  Pretty routine so far.  Nice Doors song, not heard much anymore.

not earth-shattering but not Oldies 103.7 territory either, except for "Grapevine".

No bustouts, but DC's digging deeper with this set than was even hinted at in yesterday's.
Let's get right to it.

I Think We're Alone Now - Tommy James & the Shondells

I was listening to two covers of this the other day -- by The Rubinoos (1977) and Lene Lovich (1978).

ooo! BOS2 Bobby Gentry and it's not even June!

pretty rare to have TWO country records in one set -- only AL's done that previously.
What's with that teeny geetar?  I do appreciate it not blocking her boobage, however.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! uber-uber-uber-LN "Hey Jude", speaking of Oldies 103.7 which plays it 27 times a week.

Wish Renee would have allowed the outtake of "Hey Jude" (with a bit of "St. Louis Blues") to play out.

or better yet something obscure from the White Album, like "Honey Pie".

Or if you really want daring, how about something from Tiny Tim, whom Macca was imitating on "Honey Pie"? Say "Then I'd Be Satisfied With Life" from his God Bless Tiny Tim album...

Stones wasn't deep but good lawd "Grapevine" is completely unnecessary.

Uber-LN1.

didn't we get this in the infamous very first Renee set of 10 overexposed '68 songs?

we got "Grapevine" AND "Hey Jude"  in that set. And no less than THREE of today's songs were from '67: "Billie Joe", "Bernadette" and the Tommy James tune. This is NOT rocket science. Sheesh.
