They're songs, both instrumentals. Both lovely.
"Lenny" was on the first album ('83), and is one of my favorite instrumentals. "Riviera Paradise" was on the last Double Trouble lp from 1989's
In Step. Also very nice, more of a latin jazz feel, as opposed to Lenny's more traditional slow blues. In Step refers to his recovery from the slide into drugs and alchohol Geoff refers to. 1985's
Soul To Soul really suffers because of the decline, but In Step was well recieved. That's part of the tragedy of his death, he'd turned things around and was making great music again (I really liked the album (
Family Style) he did with his brother Jimmy just before the accident).
