Tue 1/29/13: 1982

i.e.,  the first time the Niners were in the Super Bowl...

LN1 & WOS Loverboy; LN2 Human League.  (I'm guessing this will be all LNs but whatthehell)

Oh go "Stroke" yourself, Mr Squier.

My lucky Tom Tom Club boyfriend: wish he wouldn't use soy sauce or steal my underwear.

They don't write 'em like that any more, Mr Kihn.  Ditto super-freakin' Slick Rick

Go-Go's zip they lips; Police are "Spirit"ed; Mr Idol plays dances with hisself.

Wed 1/30/13: Jan 1989

Niners' 2nd Super Bowl.  "Nothin' But a Good Time" indeed.

LN: U2, "Desi-i-i-i-uh".  Axl's in "Paradise"

Per Wiki, the Halftime show was "Be Bop Bamboozled" - South Florida-area dancers and performers, and 3-D effects. Yikes.

"Whut iz dis, a blizzid?"  BOS Bobby Brown -- right, Ted?

LN2: REM ends it all; uber-uber-uber-LN3: the Wilburys.

WOS Bobby McFerrin.

Paw sum sugah on MAY!

LN4: INXS.

Niners' 2nd Super Bowl.

Fri 2/1/13: Jan 1990

The Niners beat the Broncos. Musta been dat Funky Cold Medina.

OK: Not only is "She Drives Me Crazy" uber-uber-LN, it was a hit in early '89, so why it's in a set for Jan 1990 is totally WTF.

LN2: Aerosmith can kiss mah sassafrASS.

LN3: Love & Rockets -- all these songs are '89 leftovers.

apropos of yesterday's discussion: Skid Row's "18 & Life" is pretty godawful IMHO, but at least it's a relative rarity.

OK smarty, go to a SuperBowl party: BOS Young MC.

LN4: Smithereens

B-52s: well, at least "Roam" ain't "Love Shack"

The only good thing about Great White's "Once Bitten" is that Ian Hunter got some coin.
