3EB and Chumbawamba in the 1 and 2 slots. I'm bailing as well--the Sound is doing 1981. It can't be any worse. Oh wait, they're playing Rush.... ;)
Let's get right to it.

Johnny Lang "Lie to Me"; kind of a LN but not egregiously so.
U2 "Staring at the Sun"; now here's one I haven't heard in awhile.

Meanwhile the Sound is now playing Styx, Rockin' the Paradise. Or something like that.

"Staring At The Sun", judging by what's been played, and what will likely be played, may easily win my personal BOS. I'll give Chumbawumba a pass, but 3EB? I'm guessing it wasn't "How's It Going To Be".

I'll give Sixpence None the Richer a BOS, cause she has such a cute voice. I do think the Las' version of "There She Goes" is better.

6PNR "There She Goes"; another one I haven't heard in awhile, and WOS from me, but at least it's not "Kiss Me," would would have been even more of a WOS & LN.

ah feeel yer pain.

The Peak's is really the only 10@10 that plays consistently interesting rarities, esp in the '70s and early '80s.

another of those completely unnecessary remakes; remember their cover of "Don't Dream it's Over", which KFOG played *once* on New Releases Thurs and Fogheads inundated them with phone calls and emails saying "NEVER play that again!"?

OMG...yes, that one was horrible too.  She sounded WAY too happy to be singing those lyrics.

While most of this set has been straddling the LN line quite skillfully, with Smashmouth and Sister Hazel ending this set Renee clearly and decisively crashes this set into LN territory.

Although, this set was pretty 1997 to me.  All of these were fairly prominent on Hits 106 except Boom Boom Boom Boom.  (Well, 1997-1999, but who's counting...not Renee, apparently.)

Record label to Sister Hazel: "hey, can you guys try sounding a little more like Hootie?"

Sis Hazel to label: "HELLS yeah!"

Glad I bailed; I'd've BOSed "Brick" too. Guess RR was listening to KFOG at 6am the day after Xmas too.

Except that, how can I put this? Hootie sounded a lot better than the extremely overplayed "All For You".
