Wed 9/26/12: One Hit Wonders!

should be interesting, at least.

Sanford/Townsend light a fire.

Jesus H Christ, Bob's playing Jesus H Jones. "The new sound of the Drive"?

louie louie louie loo--weeee!  Stories date a colored chick.

eeek: WOS Autograph, "Turn Up the crappy song on the radio". Did they include the line "things go better with rock" because they thought Coke would come calling?

Big Country are in a big, well, you know.

David Essex: biggest "for shame" here because he had many UK hits ("Lamplight", "Hold Me Close") that were wonderful and shoulda been hits here too.

And, like Jesus Jones, Cafferty & Beaver Brown aren't really OHWs either.

All that Glitters is not Gary.

Dream Academy make it easy on theyself.

FINALLY some '60s: San Jose's own... People, people.

Sanford-Townsend Band - Smoke From a Distant Fire
Jesus Jones - Right Here Right Now
Stories - Brother Louie
Autograph - Turn Up the Radio
Big Country - In a Big Country
David Essex - Rock On
John Cafferty/Beaver Brown Band - On the Dark Side
Gary Glitter - Rock N' Roll, Part 2
Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town
People - I Love You

albeit with a very quick crash afterwards. Still, it's not like it spent one week at #40 and disappeared. It was a legitimate second hit.
