BOS, da Ramones.  I actually got a request played!

And bonus points for playing one of their lesser-knowns.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention...what was the other one?

I like "Candy's Room".

I like "Candy's Room".

Bob Seger to lead off.

"Candy's Room" is decent, but I really wish there'd be, say a two week respite from playing Springsteen.

Is that Mrs. Peel's husband?  ;)

Well, I was right about Leonard Nimoy in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Pretty far off guessing Babs though.

9/07/12! - Friday! Feels like...1978!

1. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band - Feel Like A Number
(Ad - Eddie Money, the man with all the moves)
2. Eddie Money - Baby Hold On
3. Jefferson Starship - Count On Me (B.O.S!)
(News: Sen Teddy Kennedy @ Democratic National Convention on health care )
4. Squeeze - Take Me I'm Yours
5. Robert Palmer - You're Gonna Get What's Coming
(Movie: Invasion of the Body Snatchers: "That's why marriage is going to hell.")
6. Todd Rundgren - Can We Still Be Friends?
7. The Ramones - Needles and Pins
8. Bruce Springsteen - Candy's Room
9. Yvonne Elliman - If I Can't Have You
(TV: One Day At A Time: Barbara (Vallerie Bertinelli) "How old were you when you first slept with a boy?")
10. The Undertones - Teenage Kicks

Weeeelll... not bad. The Ramones is a bustout, the Palmer a rarity. The rest: pretty standard-issue AL-in-'78sville. "Candy's Room" is one of her biggest Katrinas outside of '90s sets.

It occurs to me that AL could have followed (or preceded) the Robert Palmer track with the title track of Tom Petty's offering for 1978.  As a tie in, Eddie Money opened for TP December 30, 1979 at Winterland, the penultimate Winterland show.  And the first time I took acid.  Wheeeeeeee!
