Jim Capaldi is good. I got the CD just for this tune.

Ironic, since this is likely vinyl we're hearing. I'm hearing "warmth" again.

methinks you are correct... tho' this set may predate "Spot the Vinyl" as an official 10@10 activity.

ah, Split Enz...  another Morey perennial.

(Gaz throws hands up in defeat, gives halfhearted BOS vote to "Message to My Girl," nice enough song but not putting any starch in the ol' Corvette, ya feel me?)
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

wow. not only do we hear "fascination," we hear the song whose opening piano riff copies the "fascination" melody line, "message to my girl."

For a sec, when the intro to Message to My Katrina (a song I actually like) was playing, I thought we were hearing Fascination again. Similar chords.
Let's get right to it.

I can't name it, but isn't it inherently self-contradictory?

Jinx to my Girl!

Glad to have the corroboration though--sometimes I think I'm imagining things like this.

To borrow a mixed metaphor from Gaz: my Corvette was definitely unstarched.
