for an old fart like me, this is so far ahead of the pack.  Great timing with VJ day, even though I know it's a "Classic"
this would probably get my BOS vote too, if we were voting. Although I'm thinking we heard Seconds last time we hit 83.
Just curious, does anyone else think U2's War album is a totally classic record?

Don't know if I'd go so far as "totally classic," as in "comparable to Beggars Banquet or Revolver" but it's pretty darn good--one of the better U2 albums overall, along with Unforgettable Fire.

Btw, I stand corrected: the U2 song we heard last time in 83 was Eleven O'Clock Tick Tock. That "time" thing was what threw me off, honest.

BOS2 Jim Capaldi.
Let's get right to it.

Not classic for me but I don't fully appreciate all that U2 does. I saw the Unforgettable Fire tour at the Cow Palace in the early 80's. I at least think it was Unforgettable Fire.

I think that was the Joshua Tree tour, back in the day  when I had backstage passes to things like that, and now have to pay retail!

Ironic, since this is likely vinyl we're hearing. I'm hearing "warmth" again.

And yeah, U2 played the Cow on the Unforgettable Fire tour. 1985, I think.
Let's get right to it.
