This strikes me as being one of the least creative 'themed' sets possible, apart from maybe "Side 1 Track 1" from 10 different albums.

agreed -- and they're all obvious choices -- surely there are hit LPs where the title track wasn't overexposed.  ("All Things Must Pass" woulda been a good choice in that category)

Tue 5/8/12: 1972

staying in the early '70s. Even if this is an obvious collection (and having "Long Cool Woman" as TOTHK is *PAINFULLY* obvious) it will still make me smile, probably.

BOS1 the 'oo, joining togetha.

It's a gurl, mah lawd, in a flat-bed Fawd.

The Stones are happy, Stevie is superstitious.

Ziggy plays gee-tar with his well-hung snow-white tan. or something.

BOS2 Rodney Dangerfield on the Tonight Show. "Karl Malden stole my Traveler's Checks!"

Honky Katz: he owned a Kosher niteclub in the South.

BOS3 ABB and sweet Melissa.

Duuuuuuude! DP on the Highway!

VHM: some "Suavecito" for Ocho de Mayo.

Hollies - Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress)
Who - Join Together
Eagles - Take it Easy
Rolling Stones - Happy
Stevie Wonder - Superstition
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust
Elton John - Honky Cat
Allman Brothers Band - Melissa
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Malo - Suavecito

Wed 5/9/12: 1976

odd... the Drive's player not working either. Thought it was another across-the-board blockage but KFOG, 'DAS, KCDX and the Sound all work.  Hrm.  Anyway, based on the requests for AL's '76 set The Drive's may not be much worse.

Petty/Heartbreakers - American Girl
Steve Miller Band - Fly Like An Eagle
AC/DC - T.N.T.
Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way
Bob Seger - Night Moves
Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son
George Harrison - Crackerbox Palace
Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak
Queen - You're My Best Friend
Bad Company - Silver, Blue and Gold
