« on: April 23, 2012, 07:37:03 AM »
Mon 4/23/12:  April 1980

BOSes Ramones remembering RnR radio, Squeeze pulling mussels, Elvis C in hi-fidelity, Todd/Utopia getting set free, PsyFurs ("Sister Europe") and an F.Mac rarity ("Think About Me")

LN: another brick in the Floyd.

Tue 4/24/12: 1970

their site was down this morning -- a nice but not earth-shattering 1970 set was played: "Sweet Baby James" gets a VHM; BOSFRA to Jimi/Band o'Gypsies live version of "Them Changes"; OMGWTF Frijid Pink's "House of the Rising Sun". Otherwise: CSNY, Beatles, CCR, Joni, Guess Who, Doors. Proxy of Geoff: "Oh Well"

Wed 4/25/12: 1986

BOS "Absolute Beginners"; the rest: standard-issue '86... Stevie Nicks, OMD, TalkTalk, Palmer, Cocker (or "C--ker" as Tune Genie's censoring software has it), Mike + Mechanics, Stones, Prince.

VHM ZZT's "Rough Boy", which I still hear as an Eagles parody.

Thur 4/26/12: 1977

Rob makes my day with Graham Parker's cover of "Hold Back the Night"- BOS. Also: PG, Garland Jeffreys' fab "35mm Dreams" (BOS2), Iggy, Boz, Foreigner, F.mac, Kinks.

WOS: Kansas. "nothing equals suspenders!"

BOS3 Clash, "I'm so Bored w/the USA"

This one is worth catching on the replay, kids.

ETA: listening on the PM side -- BOS4 Kinks, "Life on the Road" a serious rarity. "I was standing with the punks in Praed Street/when a muscleman came my way/he said 'hey are ya gay? can ya come out to play?'/and like a fool I went and said OK"

Fri 4/27/12: 1990

Rob in the '90s much like AL in the '90s: Little Feat, DM, TP, Jude Cole.

BOS Lloyd Cole, "Downtown"

Unexpected BOS2: BJ, "The Downeaster Alexa"

LN: DelAmitri. Kiss it goodbye indeed.

Twin Peaks: most overrated TV show ever. But a DAMN fine cuppa coffee.

The Oils of Midnight: at least it's "Forgotten Years" and not "Blue Sky Mine"

OMGWTF: a real ATBB, Percy's "Tie Die on the Highway" or my way. or something.

VHM Lightning Seeds, frequent AL flier tho' it is.
