Not a big stretch, but betting we hear something off the GD's From the Mars Hotel, in keeping with Mr. Garcia's passing. Scarlet Begonias anyone? (More likely Ship of Fools, actually...)

please no blue swede. why doesn't anyone play the b.j. thomas version anymore? why doesn't anyone play b.j. thomas?

while driving across country last week, i realised i have memorised the harmonica solos for "boogie on, reggae woman" and "isn't she lovely." quite a fun way to numb the lips. though i can think of others...

Anyone remember B.J. Thomas' variety show? There was a segment where he'd improv a song based on audience suggestions. Pretty cool.

I wonder if his friends called him 'Beej', too.

an underrated guy, certainly.  But man does not live by novelty records alone, and he faded. I think he's doing well in Branson, MO.
