wow -- the Sound has officially split the AM version of 10@10 and the PM -- no more evening replay, but a completely different set/year/theme with a diff host.  Apparently this has been going on for a week:

http://thesoundla.com/?nid=14

So, yesterday Larry did 1972 (list above) and then Rita did a baseball-themed set, tho' I'm not clear what half these songs have to do with the sport:

Centerfield - John Fogerty
Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
Rocky Mountain Way - Joe Walsh
Paradise By The Dashboard - Mearloaf
Blue Collar Man - Styx
Blue Morning Blue Day - Foreigner
Blue Bayou - CCR
Blue Sky - Allman Brothers
Magic - Bruce Springsteen
Magic Man - Heart

"that pitch was like a song -- it BLEW BY YOU" But did CCR do a cover of that? WTF?

Tue 4/10/12:

AM (Larry) - 1981

Abacab - Genesis
Fantasy - Aldo Nova
Start Me Up - Rolling Stones
Rock This Town - Stray Cats
Red Barchetta - Rush
Gemini Dream - Moody Blues
A Life of Illusion - Joe Walsh
Mony Mony - Billy Idol
Pearl Necklace - ZZ Top
I Love You - Climax Blues Band

damn, that's just craptastic. And Rush aren't even the worst offenders here.

PM (Rita): 1966

The Kids Are Alright - Who
Bus Stop - Hollies
She Said She Said - Beatles
Land of 1000 Dances - Wilson Pickett
Sunshine Superman - Donovan
Mother's Little Helper - Rolling Stones
I Feel Free - Cream
Monday Monday - Mamas & Papas
Daydream - Lovin' Spoonful
Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel

for the umpteenth time the Sound's intern misspelled Simon and "Garfunkle" and I corrected.

Shattered: For years, I  thought it ended with "Party up! Party high all the time, huh!" -- but it's actually "Pile it up! Pile it high on the platter!"
