I requested a bunch of songs that were in the Chile Top 40 for the year. SRW really liked one of my choices, then requested Enrique Iglesias' "Hero".  >:( >:( >:(

I'm stopping just short of LN'ing Cake because it's not SSLJ, but Eddie Vedder gets an F/F.

Edit: Surprisingly, another one I have to stop just short of LN'ing - Coldplay.

Was that Enya? Very snoozy, but at least I've never heard it before.

I'll give Rufus an HM for "Across the Universe". Not bad, but not great.

What was that very odd Gingerbread Man clip with John Lithgow?

I don't recognize this Sugar Ray song, but I can't say I've missed it.

so, from what I gather on FB, this was the first time AL's used 9/11 clips during a 2001 set. And the consensus is she handled it sensitively and artistically. Still no desire to hear it, but an interesting turn, IMHO

several LNs but also several bustouts, methinks. That Johnny A track, which I haven't heard in quite a while, totally says "KFOG in 2001" to me, and however you feel about Enya it will always evoke 9/11 so I'd call that one necessary -- in this set, anyway. Was any SF station playing Guided by Voices at the time?

I have the Enya CD that originally had "Only Time" on it, but methinks I've heard a different version played in a 9/11 context.  Does anyone know which version was played today?
