But is it a classic or did Dave put one in the can for us?
Let's get right to it.

I realize this may be blasphemy- but Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime"? It kinda annoys me.

Can't quite say that, but it has become quite the katrina. I wouldn't miss it if he'd started out with something else--say, Everything is Beautiful, by Ray Stevens.

But who did that version of Let's Work Together? If it was Canned Heat, it wasn't the version I'm used to hearing.

VHM Rare Earth.
Let's get right to it.

Damn, quiet here today for a '70 set--just me and Beej so far, and we're into the 4th tune--oh well.

Hey--I just hit 1100 posts.

Cool.

(With apologies to Mshray and Beej.)

Betcha it was Wilbert Harrison, but I can't say for sure.

A VHM for Paul, a song that would have fit in well on the White Album.

Well, here's Paulie--wonder if we'll hear the Beatles proper as well? Or other solo works?

Btw, noticed that both the Hollies and Neil Diamond versions of He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother charted in 1970--numbers 7 and 20, respectively.

Lucretia MacEvil? Again? It ain't quite Katrina MacEvil yet, but it does seem like I've heard this a few times in the last few months.
Let's get right to it.

LOL! "Lucretia McEvil"- easily one of the silliest song titles and/or names in rock & roll.

But, hey- she's Irish. So, that's cool.

i thought sesame street debuted in '69, dude.

maybe he's just referencing kermie's jam, though...or something much more specific. like that.

This Sesame Street medley is cool--but I wanted to hear all of It Ain't Easy Bein' Green.

(Bet if Dave were actually taking BOS votes, it'd win.)
