Thanks, man.  Just one thing: no more "Thong Song" requests for 2000.  I beg of you!  ;)

'92 is sledgehammery year pour moi.  Thinking about buying a pair of Doc Martens like I used to rock back then.  Dayum, everything does make its way back into style eventually.  Anyhoo, I requested stuff that probably won't get played - Suede, The Auteurs and Unrest.  Good sh*t, though...I promise!

LOL!  Okay, I promise.  Next time 2000 rolls around, instead of Sisqo - "Thong Song", I'll request...umm...Megadeth - "Breadline"!  ;D

Most of the requests made me quite depressed. Do people really expect the Afghan Whigs 2 weeks in a row?

I'm sticking with 2NG's '75 retro-chart. Have fun in '92, kids!

STP's Plush is unnecessary, but I still love it -- despite that lyric which apparently says something about a "...dog begins to smell her."  ewww.

Nice product placement, Gotti.  What?  Did DuPont have you on retainer?  Teflon DonTM!

More product placement:  Now I'm going to Disneyland.

Stand back: Peter Gabriel is hot under the collar.

is this The Nenah Cherry sampling The Bill Withers' Lovely Day?

ETA:  nope.  from wikipedia:  "2002: British DJ's Brancaccio & Aisher, sampled original song on their track "It's Gonna Be...(A Lovely Day)" (this version reached #40 on the UK Singles Chart[9] as well as hitting #1 on both the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart[10] and the UK Official Dance Chart)"

Wow, a dance track!

Annie is walking on broken Lennox China glass?  big deal, I took that personal empowerment seminar, too.  I stroll on hot coals routinely.

that's impressive. (2NG is subjecting me to Disc-O-Texx at the moment) There was a UK outfit called Soul System that also did "Lovely Day" in late '92.

Re the Wayne's World clip, here are early incarnations of the character 'Wayne Campbell' several years before SNL, when he had a bit on a 1987-88 Canadian TV show.  This first clip is the first ever appearance of the character:

HM to James, Born of Frustration. Could be necessarier, though. Become something of a golden oldie on KFOG & Live 105.

The Black Crowes: taking the cake for unnecessary since 1992.
